Description of Demo by: anonymousRan across this demo the other day in my archive and reminded me why QW FFA died in the USA. Demo is from July 19 2007. Degy was a big part of it since he ran the most popular FFA server and loved to power trip as an admin. He went so far as to code special abuse he could use on better players. Anyone better than him or the bad regular players was accused of cheating, camping, using quad(OMG!), and other non-sense. In this demo you can get a taste of what he did to better players than himself. Fuck you Degy. |

OMG, this actually happened?
Once the player base started shrinking he got worse about it. He would attack players who always used the same names as well, not just anonymous players. If you demo_jump to 6:20 and spec player you'll see one of the things he did to people. He would sometimes make people jump at random, take damage, not be able to fire back, lock them from talking, etc. Quad was also unusable by the leading player which lead to some LOL comebacks by better players who joined late. He ran Nobody Alternative as best he could to cull it of players better than himself. Newbies could camp all day long as long as they sucked and lost for instance.
Of course, FFA was most fun if you could take over someones quad-run/camp spot and take it over yourself :)
Hah! Total Degy style! He hated anonymous players.. probably because that's one more thing he couldn't control. I thought it was funny how much of a heavy right-winger he was. He used to back Bush and say how necessary it was to take out fascism and oppressors. yadda yadda. Haha. Also what was funny was his minions that would totally kiss his ass whenever he came on the server. Probably blew his head up even more. Good ol' Degy. His parents must've done a number on him when he was a young'n.
It was a good server when he or his minions weren't playing on it.
